RVSPG – Improving Lives for Seniors of Central
Pennsylvania
RVSPG began in January 2009 with an initial membership of
about 15, today we have over 90 members and are growing rapidly. We represent nearly 100 categories of
businesses, organizations, and governmental services. All of our members are of the highest quality
and are diligently working to provide the best possible services and
information to seniors. We truly care about
the seniors we provide for and all members agree to follow a code of ethics in
our interactions with seniors and each other.
This assures seniors of professional care.
We enthusiastically support the four Area Agencies on Aging
offices in the seven counties of Central Pennsylvania, Clinton/Lycoming STEP,
Columbia/Montour, Northumberland and Union/Snyder Counties:
1) We
promote the AAA offices in their efforts to support and assist local seniors
2) We
communicate with seniors, the services of the local AAA offices and
governmental agencies
3) We
are educate RVSPG members to better serve seniors and each other
4) We
support our local AAA offices through donations of all available funds after
minor expenses
RVSPG is governed by a set of Bylaws, has an elected Board
of Directors and officers. We are
structured as a non-profit corporation in Pennsylvania and are seeking a
charitable 501C3 tax-exempt status.
Our members and Board of Directors welcome your questions,
inquiries for information, your suggestions or your becoming active in RVSPG. You are welcome to join us for meetings,
serve on committees or become a supporter of River Valley Senior Providers
Group. We meet regularly on the second
Wednesday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at various locations, which will be posted
on the website.
Please visit our website for continuous up-to-date
information, calendar or check out our speaker’s bureau (members who are
willing to talk on specific topics or their business specialty) for finding
speakers for your organization, club, or church group. We are always willing to share more with and
about seniors.
